Betula pendula 'Filigree Lace'
Dwarf Lace Leaf Birch
zone 2-8

This dwarf tree is a rare collectors item. At full growth it reaches maximum four feet tall, ok maybe five in a really long time, and is covered with the daintiest and most delicate green leaves. White bark and yellow fall color. You can have a ball combining textures around this speciman. We have well-established, one gallon containers available.

Culture: Does not handle drought and heat well. Must be planted in part shade (mid-day). Moist/well drained soil.

Butterfly Bush
5-10

NEW FOR 2008!!! If you like butterfly bushes, this new one is for you!
With two colors on the same flower: creamsicle orange and bubble-gum lavender, its sure to knock your socks off and be the talk of your gardening neighbors! The yellow Buddleia 'Honeycomb x weyeriana' is 'Bicolors' momma. Selected and introduced by Michael Dirr it has grey-green leaves which contrast well with the warm colored flowers. Blooms from July to autumn and attracts hords of butterflys.

Culture: Full sun, Well drained, yet moist soil. Prefers a bit of lime for best growth. Trim back to 12 inches in the spring. Grows 6-8ft tall and wide in one season, so give it room to grow.

Variegated Butterfly Bush
5-9

This butterfly bush has a very bright 3 season interest. In spring you get a flush of bright yellow leaves, which as they age, get a dark stripe of green down the center. Summer you have a profusion of plum- colored flowers, which as the name suggests, attract tons of butterflies. This flowering slows down but often continues into autumn.

Culture: Same as above, but as with any other variegated plant, pinch out any green leaf reversion.
